BIO

Back in the late 70s, Joe Carmona and Charlie Pinto, brothers from another mother, started a nine piece funk band in Bushwick, Brooklyn. They named the band CHUNKY because it had such a fat and funky sound.

The band was going strong on the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania club circuit through the mid 80s. Then the band ceased to perform due to family obligations. In 2011 Joe and Charlie teamed up again to form a new band also named CHUNKY. It's not as big as the old band, but it still has that fat and funky sound.

The band thanks everyone for their support back then...and now!
